Journal Article <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-esteem and sexual satisfaction with the tendency toward marital infidelity among married female students at Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch, in 2016.</p> <p><strong>Methods and Materials:</strong> The present study was fundamental in terms of its objective and employed a descriptive-correlational method. Based on Klein's theory, the sample size was 150 participants, selected through multistage cluster sampling. Data were collected using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965), the Larson Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire (Larson, 1998), and the Whatley Marital Infidelity Response Scale (Whatley, 2006). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and standard (simultaneous) multiple regression analysis.</p> <p><strong>Findings:</strong> The results of Pearson correlation showed a significant negative relationship between self-esteem and sexual satisfaction with the tendency toward marital infidelity (P &lt; .001). Additionally, the results of simultaneous multiple regression analysis indicated that self-esteem and sexual satisfaction together explained 36% of the variance in the tendency toward marital infidelity.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that self-esteem and sexual satisfaction contribute to reducing the tendency toward marital infidelity.</p> <p><strong>هدف:</strong> این پژوهش با هدف بررسی رابطه بین حرمت خود و رضایت جنسی با گرایش به خیانت زناشویی در بین دانشجویان زن متأهل دانشگاه آزاد تهران واحد جنوب در سال 1395 انجام شد.</p> <p><strong>مواد و روش‌ها: </strong>روش پژوهش حاضر از نظر هدف بنیادی و از لحاظ روش توصیفی از نوع همبستگی بود، حجم نمونه طبق نظریه کلاین 150 نفر و شیوه نمونه‌گیری خوشه‌ای چند مرحله‌ای بود. جهت جمع‌آوری داده‌ها از پرسشنامه‌های حرمت خود روزنبرگ (1965)، رضایت زناشویی لارسون، 1998) و بازخورد به خیانت زناشویی واتلی (2006) استفاده شد. جهت تحلیل داده‌ها از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و تحلیل رگرسیون چندگانه استاندارد (هم زمان) بهره گرفته شد.</p> <p><strong>یافته‌ها:</strong> نتایج حاصل از همبستگی پیرسون نشان داد بین حرمت خود و رضایت جنسی با گرایش به خیانت زناشویی رابطة منفی معنادار وجود دارد (001/0P&lt;) همچنین، نتایج تحلیل رگرسیون چندگانه به صورت همزمان نشان داد حرمت خود و رضایت جنسی توانایی تبین 36 درصد از واریانس گرایش به خیانت زناشویی را دارند.</p> <p><strong>نتیجه‌‌گیری: </strong>بر اساس نتایج پژوهش می‌توان چنین بیان داشت که حرمت خود و رضایت جنسی زمینه کاهش گرایش به خیانت زناشویی را فراهم می‌کند.</p> https://quarterlyecp.com/index.php/ecp/article/download/99/71
