Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of logotherapy on moral intelligence and distress tolerance in married and divorced female teachers of secondary schools under the jurisdiction of the Zabol Department of Education.
Methods and Materials: This research employed a quasi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population included all married and divorced female teachers of secondary schools in Zabol during the 2023–2024 academic year. Using stratified random sampling, 40 participants meeting the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly assigned to experimental (n = 20) and control (n = 20) groups. The experimental group received logotherapy through 10 weekly 90-minute training sessions. Data were collected using the Moral Intelligence Questionnaire (Lennick & Kiel, 2005) and the Distress Tolerance Scale (Harrington, 2005). The data were analyzed using both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance).
Findings: The results indicated that logotherapy significantly increased the moral intelligence of both married and divorced teachers. Furthermore, the findings demonstrated that logotherapy improved distress tolerance in these participants.
Conclusion: These findings highlight the significance of logotherapy as an effective intervention for enhancing the quality of life and professional functioning of teachers facing challenging circumstances and suggest its potential application in designing educational and therapeutic programs in this field.
